We all know a friend, workmate, colleague or family member fighting a hard battle against cancer. And we all know that not every battle is won. During the last decade, the research has brought a wide variety of cancer treatments and more and more
people win the battle. But on the other hand, the unhealthy side effects of modern society contribute to a sharp rise in new cancer cases.
I lost my granddad and a dear friend and a former workmate to cancer.
Women V Cancer is a series of women-only cycle challenges in aid of three British charities – Breast Cancer Care, (RCN: 1017658),
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust (RCN: 113354/SCO41236) and
Ovarian Cancer Action (RCN: 1109743) –
raising vital funds to fight breast, cervical and ovarian cancers. I am taking on the big challenge to do a charity bike ride in India in November for Women V Cancer.
To learn more about the challenge, my reasons to participate and my way to get
there follow the link below. I would like to thank everyone who supports me. Let's
stand up together and raise the funds so the researchers can cure more people we
know and love.
